As we head into a new season of longer days, the last of the snow melts, and the bulbs begin to push up, spring often feels like the right time to take on a challenge or set new goals. I encourage you to lean into that urge, and what better way than to join my Spring Running Group!
I am so excited to be heading into my 7th year as a running coach with TAC Fitness. As a lifelong runner, this sport has given me so much, and I love sharing those experiences with others. While we all know the health and fitness benefits of running (a strong heart, increased aerobic capacity, resilient bones and joints) the hidden gems of being a runner are the esteem boosts, endorphin rush, and connection to an encouraging and supportive community.
I love helping people become stronger runners and reach their goals around time and distance. In my decade-plus as a running coach, I have coached scores of athletes to a personal best, a marathon debut, or a state championship. However, the most rewarding aspect of coaching is undoubtedly watching people find community, and build one another up within it. There is something so powerful in a group setting where folks are willing to reach outside their comfort zone and achieve beyond what they thought possible. Stronger together prevails time and time again.
I invite you to come see for yourself the many benefits of group running this spring and summer on Wednesdays at 7:30am or 5:30pm and Sundays at 8:00am. We will work on building mileage, running specific stregnth, and resilience in distance running. You might just make some friends along the way.
